Setting Up Utilities

Utilities—gas, electric and water—are set up through City Hall in Flora.

You will need to fill out a utility application that includes basic personal information.

WHAT INFORMATION DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?

One thing you will need to bring with you is a valid driver’s license. You may need to bring in other information, depending on whether you are renting or whether you are a home owner.

I’m Renting

Besides your driver’s license, you will also need to bring in a copy of your rental inspection. This is available from your landlord.

Deposits

Utility deposits for renters are $375 total:

  • Gas – $125
  • Electric – $125
  • Water – $125

Deposits are not refunded for those who rent.

I’m a Homeowner

You only need to bring in your driver’s license and fill out the utility application.

Deposits

  • Gas – $100
  • Electric – $100
  • Water – $50

Deposits for homeowners are refundable.

WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO HAVE SERVICE?
